Did the AD really do that good of a job getting him if he gave him EVERYTHING and more ? We gave this man so much it makes us look dumb. How are we going to pay him a million if ole miss wins the natty? I mean what are we doing here??

WTF. You aren't getting Kiffin without a contract exactly like he was given. Nobody thinks we look dumb except the self-loathing LSU fans.

Ole Miss isn't winning it with this team. They are 11-1 because of their schedule.
Georgia and OU are the only teams currently ranked who they played this year.

There is a clause in the Kiffin contract that the buyout for Kiffin leaving is reduced by 50% if Verge is no longer there.
Do you think that’s not put in there if Sexton/Kiffin didn’t like Verge?

Yes.
We pulled the most successful sitting SEC coach (aside from Kirby Smart) away from his 11-1 team on the eve of the playoffs.
The money guys made the hire possible, but we don’t get it done without Verge leveraging his contacts and playing his cards right. Ole Miss and Florida essentially offered the same financial incentives. The manner in which LSU handled everything was the difference maker.
This was a very different and more organized process behind the scenes than the last two football hires.
We pulled the most successful sitting SEC coach (aside from Kirby Smart) away from his 11-1 team on the eve of the playoffs.
