What happened with Jedd Fisch and Florida?

I always thought he was their top candidate, outside of Kiffin?

Looking at articles, just a few days ago Florida writers were predicting him as the hire.

I think I read he had a pretty large buyout but if you were prepared to throw money at kiffin, you'd think him at a lower rate would offset that.

There is also the issue of Stricklin being on the thinnest of ice imaginable as an AD. No guarantee that the guy in your corner and hired you is there for very long, probably isn’t a great sell to anyone not from the G5.

I don’t think he had turned Arizona around yet. His big year there was two years ago.

I am biased obviously but I do not understand why Florida would even entertain hiring Fisch besides the fact that he's an alum. The dude is not nearly good enough to bring Florida back to the top.
