I’m sure everyone figured with Blake staying the defensive staff as a whole will stay. I can confirm Jake is staying definitively.

Outside of Major Burns and Sage Ryan, LSU safeties have been elite the past 2 years. I’m not putting those too goofus’s deficiencies on Jake Olson.

Agree and Spears made a big jump this year. I expect him to be a star next year as a full-time starter.

Spears was in large part due to Jake and Baker. He was arguably the DB that put the most work in during the off-season. He spent countless hours trying to improve his footwork and understand responsibilities. He will have a great season next year.

Is it confirmed Blake is staying and not interviewing for an opening?

I know you're cool with hankton. I'm guessing he is gone.

As of now he is staying at LSU. He may entertain HC offers though

Yea I read that wording as lane is keeping Blake, doesn’t necessarily mean Blake is staying at LSU

Olsen is a good coach.

If we have Spears and Cooley at safety next year with Pickett and Woodland as the starting corners, the secondary should again be the strength of the defense.

It's confirmed that Kiffin plans to retain him. If he is offered a head coaching job, particularly the Tulane job, I am sure he will consider it.

I would love for him to stay, but I would understand if he wants to take a shot at being a head coach, especially at his alma mater.

The Honeybadger would be a perfect safeties coach!
