Is Kiffin sick of Ole Miss?

Never stopped to think about it from this angle.
Maybe he doesn’t like the brass there?

OM got where it is in nil by diverting all resources in that direction, at Lanes insistence. It was a shrewd move that gave them an immediate leg up. It was never going to be a permanent advantage though.
Now programs that already have superior facilities, better natural recruiting advantages, and bigger staff budgets are catching up. I don’t think OM has a satisfactory next play, so he has to move on. I don’t think it’s deeper than that.

If he wasn’t, he certainly is now.

Don’t discount fatigue from living in a small town where everyone knows your business.

He was hugging the AD and Chancellor as they were walking off the field in the Egg Bowl…. an AD/Chancellor who gave him complete autonomy.
He’s leaving because he thinks it’s easier to win a natty at LSU - that’s pretty much the main impetus.

I really think he wanted a change of scenery

Maybe this is his way of saying, "I built this, not you."

I think he jumped at the opportunity to coach Ole Miss when the offer came. It got him back in the SEC. His brother had been there before so his family had history in Oxford. He got to coach with his dad in the SEC. But the opportunity wasn’t everything he wanted and despite this season success he knows what the ceiling is. He has been frustrated at the fans many times there. The media too. So there were probably a handful of jobs that would make him want to leave for. With his wife’s family being Florida alumni I bet that was one of them. But Florida has been a coaching carousel for years without success and the culture is dead there. I think he knows what LSU can be and has talked to Saban and Orgeron about it to know what can be done quickly.

And you think becoming the head football coach at LSU is going to lessen the public’s knowledge of your business?
Baton Rouge is like Oxford on steroids when it comes to knowing (or let’s clarify that-PRETENDING to know) people’s business most especially an LSU coaches.

I think Kiffin eventually gets crossed up with any authority
He’s a rebel……
