Anderson County Tx
41 with a hard north wind
Pop up blind in bottom hardwoods next to the trinity river
270 wsm

My last hunt in a public draw hunt at Big Lake Bottom WMA. Had to huff it from home early this morning, probably could have slept 30 more minutes. Hope to bag one more for the freezer.

40 something degrees with NW wind. Rain woke me up in the camper around 1am. Got up watched tv a bit and went back to sleep. REB jr just showed up to join in the fun.

.270 on a pipeline. Big bucks only from here on out. Hunted all but about 2 hours yesterday and didn’t see anything which is odd.

It rained all night here. They should be out and about today.

In the recliner drinking coffee with the dogs. Everyone else is still asleep. About to start breakfast. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, & fresh deer tenderloin.

Spot I haven't been to this year, good hardwoods east of a big soybean field. Saw some moving on my drive in, always worried that means they moved before light and are done. Got here early enough to get hiking before a couple of campers were up at the parking spot. I figure they're going to the field though. No shots so far anywhere.

They’re on their feet today. I’ve seen 3 does, spike, and a 6 point. My son has seen 2 does.

Good luck out there. No hunting here today for me. Of course the cell cameras have pictures of legal bucks coming in right now during daylight. I've filled my freezer mostly full this week. Going to dial back to mainly squirrels and hopefully a nice buck or a late season doe.

I’m in a box in some pasture watching a treeline with some oaks on it. Had bucks here last two days.

Dakota Hoodie is money.

Back at home. I switched it up a bit today but I guess I'll do it again next time. They are not moving where I'm at, when I'm there.
