Probably, but it was just a miserable offense and miserable coaching.

Line was fine today. It was bad all year though. Really bad. Last year too.

OU was selling out to stop the run and screen game. We had success between the hashes on intermediate passes but only tried it a handful of times.

The biggest problems were scheme/design, play calling, and an inability to adapt.

I have a hard time believing that every single offensive player has regressed or is a bust

It’s ALL coaching.

OL IS the problem, but coaching and O design caused it.

We had 4 out of 5 drafted to the NFL last year and that OL was bad. This staff let down the players so bad.

The OL played well above expectations today.
They have been bad, but they’re young and seem to be slowly improving.
That was a very good defense they played against today.

Scheme and playcalling

Lots of teams have bad offensive lines and still find a way to score points.

I think that was because the OL was arse. Look at last year for example. Why would the offense change to 70% screens out of nowhere? LSU realized they can't hold for 3 seconds and we don't have a speed demon like Jayden Daniels back there.

All of it, really. From Torsogate QB #18 who set a standard for regression that would have made Poisson jealous. That problem resulted in an entire gameplan being silently restructured for that concealed injury, and then the 4th year self proclaimed OL expert demonstrated why he deserved to be fired. Center and left tackle were good but the rest were liabilities. And #10 was a complete miss. That inside trap with the TE pulling insode never worked all season. And the OC was blah and forced into the bubble screen and dump downs game plan. A lateral gameplan that according to CBK, was going to take the top off of defenses. The overlay chart of pass targets from 24 to 25 says it all in one image. Add some portal player dropsies and a few # 10 fumbles, and there you go. The 2025 offense, and youre spoiled for asking CBK about it. Had the ball on the 2 today and got nothing. Had the ball in the red zone and went backward to almost midfield. Not how year 4 of your big time hire should have his team playing. And good riddance to Fathead Woodward, for inking BKs dog of a deal.
