Harold Perkins is the biggest What If Bust in LSU history.

Ive never seen a player who has so much athleticsm just be useless on the field unless he comes through untouched.
Year 4 and he doesn't understand man coverage?

You're melting all over the board about Perkins right now lol. He isn't in the top 15 "busts" of the last 2 years lol.
He's been a great player. You have zero clue what the coverage was.

He understands. He doesn’t care. Business decision.

Just think if he gave some effort

He is not covering their fastest WR man to man. He released and played the flat. Safety was at fault.

Do you even Perriloux bro?

He did blow his responsibility on that play.

He gave up a 3rd down pass by over pursuing and then jogged, and then busted man coverage.
And hes been a massive bust.

He isn't going to the NFL. He's collecting a check now. His football career is done. Huge disappointment.

What coverage calls for him to not pursue the ball carrier

I don't think that was man. Kinda hard to tell. Looked like the outside corner was playing zone too.
But with the way Cooley rotated it's hard to tell. Either way a bad play call putting Perkins in the slot with zero safety help on satengna.
Leads me to belive Cooley was suppose to help. But yeah Perkins has been loafing.

Totally disagree. He's played enough football at this point, we know exactly what he is. He's a very average linebacker who is terrible in pass coverage, and above average rushing the passer from the edge.

He’s just not football smart

Don't leave Nuss out. Those two gone we automatically get better next year.

If the plan was 7 covering man up on their best receiver that's a terrible plan.
Our D gets confused in zone.

If Perkins doesn't make the splash play he gives up

Doubt that was Perkins responsibility in that particular coverage. Either Cooley or DJ but even if it was man coverage, why is Harold Perkins matched against a WR with that speed and no safety overtop? Cant blame Perkins on that one

Perkins is no where near being a bust. He's made a ton of plays
