No one wants Lane to leave OM because they know what they about to get! Purple and Gold dominance!! That is what Saban is telling him. Go finish what I started!

Other fans do not ever have the best interest of your team in mind.

I find it funny how some fans say a coach should stay, because he can lose more games there and be accepted. That's pretty offensive towards what the coach might think of himself.

Stole this from another poster:

Here is how Lane has fared against some SEC programs.

Alabama 0-5
Georgia 1-2
LSU 3-3 (2-2 against Brian Kelly)
Tennessee 1-0
Florida 1-2 (0-1 against Billy Napier).

Terrified.

I agree that he hasn’t exactly wowed me with winning big games. I don’t care for his general antics or propensity to go for it on 4th downs in stupid scenarios.

That said, what he has done over time at OM is historic amd cannot be discounted. His offense at bama when he had elite talent was beautiful.

If he gets somewhere he can assemble elite talent he will likely be a force.

You also are concerned about that. Unless you are lying to yourself, which is likely.

Agreed. The job he did with Blake Sims is one of the best coaching jobs I’ve ever seen. He’s a very good offensive coach.

But the idea that he’s the second coming and that LSU is about to go on a run like Saban had at Bama seems far fetched to me. But what do I know. I thought Harsin was a good hire at the barn.
