He was enjoying all the media circus and the hype but finally realized he was actually pissong more people off than exciting them. Then he pivoted to being introspective and prayerful. He should have said from the beginning he’s not making any decisions until after the season but he got wrapped up in the “lane train” drama. He’s regretting it now. But he’s still coming to LSU!! GEAUX TIGERS!

I think he's handled this situation about as good as a coach could. The only reason he's getting a negative response is his past. It doesn't appear he's lied to anyone, he's been open to Ole Miss that he's looking, etc. Not sure what else people want him to do, other than stay at an inferior school because they finally had a great season?

99.9% of the noise is from outside, not Lane.

Lane didn’t do anything wrong. It’s a huge opportunity for him and the football calendar is forcing this. He continued to coach and his team played well.

Sometimes you should fight the urge to share your thoughts. Often they’re not as meaningful as you may think that they are.

You just made all that up. Stop being so emotional.

He just wanted to finish the season and stayed non-committal. Reporters and sauces caused all the drama, not lane

If Ole Miss had 3 losses, it would be a nothing burger. Ole Miss being in playoffs makes it messy. Feel bad for Lane if he misses out on coaching the playoffs.

I think he is truly conflicted

Was he enjoying this? Looks to me like he wasn’t.

Then keep his arse there and miss out on an opportunity. We have to have an answer today.

Lane has done nothing wrong. The talking heads on ESPN - message boards - etc. are the ones causing drama.

It's not on Lane that the media can't stop repeating the same questions and talking points every 5 minutes.

He has said from the beginning he wanted to Coach the team all the way through the playoffs. Ole Miss is being petty and forcing this to be done now because if he is to leave they don’t want him Coaching the playoffs.
