Gas prices have dropped below $3 a gallon to their lowest level in more than four years.
The national average for regular fell to $2.95 on Friday, the cheapest price at the pump since May 2021, according to GasBuddy.

“This is a welcome break for Americans ahead of the holiday season and comes as refinery maintenance season concludes and gasoline demand weakens seasonally,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a release.
In Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas, several dozen stations are selling gas for under $2 per gallon. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.50, but several counties saw prices slip below $4 on Friday.

I'm in Norman for the game this afternoon. A few blocks from me the Regular gas is $1.99 a gallon.
WTF?
Who is going to drill the oil if the barrell cost keeps dropping?

This was predicted back in January, before Trump was even sworn in.
Maybe it was predicted because Trump had already won the election 2 months before that article.

I’m sure you gave Biden credit for all of Trump’s jobs that returned after the COVID lockdowns.

You can thank OPEC+ as American oil production has been essentially flat, about the same as last year. Expect prices to fall even more next year as demand remains weak and global supply is strong.
