Looks like total commitment including NIL that equals 30-35 million a year.
Is he worth that? Just asking the board their thoughts

No, Kiffin is a master marketer who has re-branded himself as some infallible coach. He rarely wins against a team equal or better than him. Ole Miss' schedule is trash this year. Perfect scenario for him to cash in whether he stays or goes.

He did a great job this year, last year, not so much. I’ll take him. He will be good at LSU.

Let me answer your question with another question.

If you don't get him, who do you get? What's your plan? And how do you see us performing with whoever you're suggesting?

Kiffin has guided the Rebels to a 54-19 record in his six seasons -- only Alabama (66-12) and Georgia (70-8) have more wins in the SEC since the start of the 2020 season. The Rebels have the eighth most wins among power-conference teams during that stretch.

Not bad for a marketing guy. And, all of this at Old Piss - I think he would do even better at LSU. And I know what you're going to say, 'He hasn't won a natty'. Well, not many have and there sure aren't any coaches available that have. At least his teams are competitive and have a shot each year. Regardless, his record kind of proves your statement to be incorrect.

National Championship?

Kiffin's never won a conference championship. Or even played for one for that matter.

He's a great coach and the perfect coach for Ole Miss. Don't want him at LSU.

…you wanted to hire a coach who’s won an SEC Championship? Let me know who you had in mind.

Kiffin won 2 conference championships at FAU fwiw

As much so as anyone else. If he can have a strong defense and an exciting offense that can score in the red zone, it'll be a refreshing improvement.

I wonder what the Baton Rouge or LSU monetary gain is for a 7-6 versus a 11-2 record? Maybe Kiffin will be worth it for the overall health of LSU and BR.

He is a very good coach, and that is how much very good Div 1 coaches get paid nowadays. Is he worth it….I don’t know.

He might win a lot of games or he might win few games. One thing is for sure…if we get impatient and fire him for no reason, we will be paying yet another coach for nothing.

Try this tack . . .

Had we had an engaged HC the last four years we would've beat the snot out of OM - four years in a row. And assume this HC suddenly got ill and we were in the market for a new HC, where would Kiffin's stock be then?

BK has done more to elevate Kiffin than Kiffin has.
