Looked pretty good the first few games, but fell off the cliff in SEC play. Secondary needs major help.

Miss State is my #2 SEC team.

Lebby is god fricking awful. It’s a bad year to move on, so I think he gets another year.

I agree. I think they would so far down the list they are better off waiting u til next year. I think the new normal will be to role to next year and terminate mid season to get a head start on your search.

Yes. That was a complete rebuild at a time where the other SEC team in the same state—a state that’s population and talent is too small to really have 2 SEC teams—was at its peak. They’re getting better, even if the record isn’t great. They have no choice but to, at least, let him run it back. I think he’s good enough to commit to for 2-3 more seasons unless the bottom just falls completely out.

And I don’t think you can truly judge his performance based on record. Unless it’s 1-11 or 2-10 or something. If he can hover around .500 with a lot of close losses, I think that’s their best realistic chance of finally breaking through and getting over the hump. Certainly better than tarting the cycle completely over again. They may have the worst resources of any program in the entire conference right now.

I kept hearing people say he is a good coach but I don't see it. Certainly 1 SEC win in 2 years doesn't scream good coach.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are looking for a new coach, though I imagine with all the openings this year, especially in the SEC, they may wait until next year.

He should. They've been competitive in most of their losses.

Promoting Zach Arnett after Mike Leach died (RIP ) was a massive mistake. Lebby inherited a mess.

They are a pretty good team with a bad record. I think the whole conference was better off with Leach still in the game. Hard to recover from that.

He's got what, 3 or 4 more wins this year than last. That's improvement.
