I was looking into going after not going for like a decade. I was looking to get tickets for walking around and it looks like the tickets are 35 a person now. I thought they were like 10. Is it that crazy now or am I missing something?

It’s been a decade.

Yeah. The price has gone up.

You're missing ten years worth of inflation.

Ok apparently there are no walking around tickets anymore it’s only the rides included tickets that I care nothing for. What a shame

Inflation didn’t make a 2015 dollar worth tree fiddy.

I know how you feel - Growing up in the ‘80s/‘90s I was always a member of a band or a dance troupe that performed there so we had free admission

So the first time I had to pay to get in -it was $8, and I paid it.

Guess I really don’t know how you feel. Because if you want to go, you’ll pay it.

20 a person is the most I’m willing to pay to see lights. Anything more and I will just be pissed off regardless of how good it is. In the process of looking around to see if I doing something wrong all I have seen is people complaining that they have less and less lights, no Cajun Christmas, employees unhappy and smoking blunts, people getting card broken into, lights in areas not even on etc. frick giving New Orleans govt money while crime is worth than ever, streets are trash and literally nothing about the city is on the up and up

go to Lafreniere Park then, they have Al Copeland’s old light display too

no Cajun Christmas
which never really made sense bc there aren’t many Cajuns in NOLA

employees unhappy and smoking blunts
that’s been since forever

city of NOLA owns the land the park is on - but the park is managed by the state and a private entity - so the money probably just gets pilfered and doesn’t actually go to the city - or the park

streets are trash
lol

there’s plenty but you seem to focus on the negative

How is erasing Christmas more "inclusive"

This is the question I have been asking for the last 15 years as this crap has gotten more and more pervasive

because it doesn’t hurt our Jew friends’ feefees that are celebrating Hanukkah at the same that don’t believe in Christ

Or anyone else that doesn’t believe in Christ

But the reason that the whole display is there is bc of Christmas so the name never should’ve been changed

Walking tickets are Only $153 for a family of four after fees. Sounds reasonable
