If tweet fails to load, click here. Crazy that the bubble popping coincides with SNAP being delayed and the massive fraud coming into question.
Also, we saw the first month of no rap songs in the top 100, and now Jordans and Yeezys are crashing. Is hip hop culture dead?

Unfortunately, hip-hop culture hasnt spawned anything great to carry its influence forward. Additionally, it seems like the main demographic that consumed hip-hop (millennials) are simply aging out.
Gen Z cant carry it forward because they arent a large enough market.
Aside from that, hip-hop is pretty boring now.
The most famous rappers are in their 50s.

Maybe people are waking up and realizing that we need a culture shift because times are in the crapper right now. BS things like overpriced sneakers are just not that significant anymore.
I feel there may be hope for this high school generation today. My son wrestled in a huge tournament in Mobile this past weekend, there was a group of guys from Alabama walking around with a Turtle Box with classic rock and metal cranked on it…

They are to certain groups but a sudden pop of that bubble at the same time SNAP was cut is very questionable.

Maybe they’re just waiting on the next riot to loot them like always?

AOC said they were just feeding their families, and those were loaves of bread at the Nike outlet

The country is healing.

the guy posted this before the EBT cuts. the comment section full of gen Z kids are saying they're too expensive
but the sneaker industry has been dying ever since Coronavirus welfare went away and resellers created Bots to buy up all the shoes as and jack up the prices.. in a tough economy for the low and middle class.

Is there that much of a markup in the price of sneakers?

I don’t give one single flying frick about the “sneaker world”.

That video is from almost a month prior to SNAP being delayed.

Yes! Some music playlist I had going was playing an Eminem song, and my daughter, age 24 (no pics), asked if she could change it, saying, "Nobody listen to hip-hop anymore. It's just gang banger and gamer music."

Oh yes I agree. Mightily coincidental.

I never understood why the culture puts such high value on a pair of shoes.
They will pay 5x more for the same basic product just because it has an athlete's name slapped on it.
