We are on the hook for a lot of money. Certainly we have deep pockets, but do we have any concern with resources long term?

Luckily Graves and Gordon will keep donating and this amount is probably negligible to them. But I wonder where we would be if we’ve had one good coach and diverted all of our yearly allocated buyout money + 50% of our top paid (biggest name) HC salary to NIL.

I haven’t checked other programs, but I would wager that we would far exceed the NIL budget of any other school.

Not if we don't get him. Not sure what will happen, but it doesn't feel right.

Why does most posters think Gordon is even in our top 10 donors? He donates a lot, but there are people that donate a lot more than Gordon can afford!

Graves doesn’t donate much personally. Most of his Nil is through canes. It’s about 2 million per year.

Another “we” in the chat.

Tell us about your billions.

Tell us how much of your money is involved in all of this.

STFU with this “we” shite.

The big boys will take care of the big boy shite.

Graves doesn't personally give all that much compared to most boosters. He went to Georgia, and that is where his loyalty primarily lies.

However, Raising Cane's is one of the more common advertisers at LSU sporting events, but then again regular advertising only goes so far in paying off a $54M bill.

As for McKernan, he only has a fraction of the money that Graves has, and neither can be expected to bankroll the bulk of the buyout. In fact, none of Louisiana's three billionaires went to LSU, so none of them will help with it. Hopefully someone else comes along.

1st off WE are not on the hook for anything.

LSU will already be one of the top teams spending in NIL regardless.

Don’t understand why people waste time talking about the money some rich arse dudes are covering for the betterment of the team we love.

WE give thanks to them and the people that bitch about the money just need to STFU.

We have them. If they don’t want their names out there, then why do you care who it is? Let the big dogs eat

You can start with a member of the board’s father and follow that up with the guy who sent his jet to Oxford to bring the Kiffin family here. Both of those men give millions to LSU annually!!

Why do average fans give a shite what private donors choose to fork out? LSU has some very, very wealthy donors. There are multiple billionaires outside of Todd Graves. If this is what they chose to spend their money on, I’m fricking here for it!

when they ask you to write a check, that's when you should worry. until then just go along for the ride.
