Any thoughts here mainly on Blue vs Black? Looking at a G430 Max 10K with a Velocore+ Blue 6x. My driver swing speeds are around 110-115 ish. TIA

Are you a high ball hitter? High spin? Kinda matters

What's your miss? I'm in the 6x TR black with a right miss and it'll stay in play usually. The blue profile tends to spin a little more pushing the right miss further right.

Never got along with the Ventus shafts .. but I preferred the Ventus Blacks over the Blue, black and red

Do you want lower launch, lower spin, and feel like you're swinging a 2x4 then black profiles might be for you.
Blue is generally mid launch and spin. You can feel some kick in it depending on your transition.
At 110-115 swing speed you're probably firmly into x stiffness unless you trim a stiff shaft.

I haven't found that the Ventus line is that special. I play an old Diamana white board and get better numbers out of it than any of the current offerings. The premium shafts from 15 years ago are still relevant.

I hit a G430 LST with a Ventus velocore black 6x... best club I have ever owned. I've got very high swing speed so the priority for me was lowest spin possible which I get in the black.. at your swing speed and not knowing anything else, I'd recommend blue 6x over the black 6x..

Both really good shafts, just depends on what your ball flight looks like and what you want it to look like.
I got fit into an unusual build recently. 110-112 swing speed, 10° loft with a Tour AD UB 5x shaft, (one of Graphite Design’s stiffest profiles), but in a lighter weight.

This is all awesome feedback. My ball flight is normally high. Ideally with a slight draw and 2200-2500 spin.
Currently I play the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green 6.5 TX 60g Hulk shaft in this Qi35 Core. It’s just too hot and my flight isn’t tight enough.

If you're playing a Hulk TX now, I'm almost certain that the black would fit you better than the blue. I didn't care for the OG Ventus, but I like the new one a lot. I currently play the Blue 6X.

I like it but just don’t love how much the spin drops and how low it can be at times. I’d rather give up some distance for tighter dispersion.

I would say based on limited info, the Black would be better.
There are so many good shafts out there now, it's hard to go wrong.

I would test them if you can. Blue can get a bit spinny for me. My driver SS is 115-118 and I prefer black. I also have a shorter shaft @44” that is a Blue TR 6x I play. It’s tipped 1” to make it more stiff.
Black 6x and 7x are different in weight and handle stiffness.

I’d look at Newton. One of the guys I play with ditched his Ventus for it and the difference was profound.
I’ve got one on order, so we’ll see if it works better for me also

Couldn’t find a Newton that would spin it low enough
Likewise, new Blue + 6 stiff tipped 1/2” is a fairway finding machine

Currently favoring Newton 5 over my Venus Blue 6x

Is there any way to trial a Newton?

Ventus black is the most stable driver shaft I’ve ever felt. It’s crazy how other companies can’t really replicate it. There’s a reason it’s the most played shaft on tour.
