Help Me Decode This Clue

Spouse who is a VP at a small Texas university gets a text from her close college friend, someone married to an agent and the friend says tell your LSU alum husband the following:
The agent says he was told by a strength and conditioning coach for a Power 4 program that Kiffin to LSU is done.
I tried to get the name “Moffitt” out of this person indirectly but no names were provided.
The thing is, neither the spouse nor her friend are particularly gossipy and are not anti-LSU like you might expect.
I know, this is very “I know a guy who knows this chick who knows someone who saw Ferris Bueller passed out at 31 flavors last night” but I can’t help trying to solve it.
