Brian Kelly had one of the top jobs in college football. He left it for LSU, who had just fired its coach.
He had two 10-win seasons and a 9-win season and then was fired mid-season in what is turning out to be an administrative and legal debacle.
Maybe Lane is very hesitant to jump into such a mess.

Coaches are arrogant. Perhaps Lane thinks that he himself could do so much more. That’s probably the driving force behind his wanting to come here. Keys to a faster, more powerful car.

No I won’t consider that. You clearly didn’t watched LSU play at all. The on-field product was not good. Coaching was nonexistent throughout games week after week.
