Just said on his pod that he doesn't think Lane is walking away if they win Saturday. He says there is about to be a showdown with him and OM. Neal doesn't think Ole Miss has the muscle or legal ability to suspend him. He thinks next week things could get "salty".

They start talking Kiffin about 30 minutes in: LINK

so everyone get ready for this to go even longer

Once he accepts the LSU job - there is legal standing for OM to suspend him and move on.

So if this is Kiffin's plan, Florida and LSU are also along for the ride.

I have been wondering that. If they can't make him stop now, how exactly can they make him not Coach playoffs if LSU or Florida is ok with waiting it out

You people do this every damn time.

I promise you there is far less drama in these coaching searches than what is reported here or by the sports media heads.

Why would kiffin sabotage the early signing period and portal for his new job?

Agreed. The only way it works is if he continues to say he won't talk about it and leaves everyone hanging.

But 1 or both of LSU/UF would have to move on, so his plan and leverage wouldn't last.

Why would he walk away from a playoff run with the #5 team in the country.

Lane does what he does, no use in trying to understand any of it

some of the rumors suggest LSU gave him a blessing to coach the playoffs. I find that highly suspect, but who knows.

No way this goes on longer than this weekend. LSU and Florida will both tell him its decision time

A. It’s not
B. IF it were, LSU should walk

If this goes passed this weekend. I will hop into the camp that says pull the offer and move on.

I want Kiffin as our coach, but LSU is bigger than Kiffin. Move on to option #2 and let's ride.

don't disagree with that, and at that point, you'd think LSU and Florida both move one...then does Kiffin even have the same leverage to get the same massive raise at Ole Miss?

Agreed. This makes the most sense to me. Kiffin was told to decide or face firing on Friday. He called their bluff and here we are. If he signs then he breaks his contract ole miss owes him nothing. He wants to coach egg bowl and that means there may be a verbal agreement in place but nothing can be signed yet. Anyone stating otherwise is lying. The moment he signs he is out of Oxford.
