Here's what is really bothering me. Sure, this could be a giant troll. We would never even consider this as a possibility from any other person. But with Lane, it's a legit possibility that it could be.

There is no reason not to sign the extension if he is staying. This isn't some savant whose IQ is higher than everyone else. This is a guy who is nomadic. His dad was a coach, so his whole life they've bounced. There is no evidence at this point coming out of the Ole Miss camp that he is staying. Tweets from the players, listening to the Ole Miss insiders, and looking at Lane's actions all point to him leaving.
