Why wouldn’t we trade Zion?

I know it’s been brought up a bunch, and I had been in the “if he’s healthy” camp….
But just trade him for 2 first round pics and a young guy that’s anywhere from 5-8 on your bench.
Play Queen at the 4 and let’s see what happens

It really is baffling what Dumars is thinking here. I know he doesn’t listen to fans but I’ve seen most sports shows with former players saying the same thing. Come on Joe we have suffered enough

Because no one is offering two first round picks. Plan was to have him actually play and then trade him later. He’s still not playing.

You’re not getting the value for Zion. We’d probably get a couple role players and a shitty 1st round pick.

The conversation that seems inevitable to happen this offseason is do we want to trade him and take on whatever salaries we get back, or do we want to just cut him.

There hasn't been a trade done in the NBA for over 2 months. Nobody is looking to make trades right now. There are a bunch of players that can't be traded until 12/15, with many more restricted until 1/15.
I would guess they want him to play about a month, get some games under his belt and try to boost his market. But I don't think they would trade him or anyone else until after 12/15..

To whom exactly and for what you want Dumars to trade him right now?
Until he start playing regularly no one will give you a first round pick and especially not now.
Perhaps at the trade deadline some overarching teams, e.g. Chicago, Phoenix (who perhaps have no picks to trade) might offer you one, but not now.
