If it’s not Kiffin, the eventual choice will have a rough start.

It’s going to be tough for anyone other than Kiffin coming out of the gates. Whether on purpose or not, Kiffin has built up an anticipation for this coaching hire. I feel like a Drinkwitz type hire could result in a scenario similar to Schiano at Tennessee years ago. There was a decent amount of support for Dillingham, but he has apparently told his players he’s not leaving. I think he would be the only other coach that most would tolerate outside of Saban. I expect a mess if it’s not Kiffin.

I started out wanting to go with a successful mid major so you could have a shorter contract if you need to cut bait. I got on the Kiffin bandwagon at some point though like everyone else. I don’t want Drink either. 0-16 against sec schools with a winning record is problematic to say the least.

If Kiffin doesn't come (which he will) your list is way to small. There are tons of guys who would love to come to LSU. Its a top 5 job and we are committing to a healthy NIL roster.

Theres probably 20 other coaches that would love to come to LSU.

Why? The guy has proven he can win in the SEC, while these others have 0 experience of coaching in the SEC.

WTF are you talking about?

He’s literally 0- forever against SEC teams in the Top 25

It’s a mess. We need a major overhaul starting in the locker room, weight room and in the coaches offices.

Never have so many been paid so much to produce very little.

Ehhh…. maybe, maybe not

LSU will be fine. I think most of us want Kiffin, but I also think many of us have concerns that he’s not the “slam dunk” successful hire that many make him out to be.

LSU will have a coach in 2026, and whoever it is…. The expectation is to win football games. And there’s a lot of coaches out there that can do that at a place like LSU. I totally disagree with the notion that it’s “Kiffin or bust”

BK gave 60% effort at best and was semi-retired and still had LSU winning roughly 9 games a year on average.

Let’s ride for Golesh. He is kiffin, but younger, and without the drama.

If it is Kiffin he will have a rough start because y'all will be ready to fire him at the first punt.

I hope it’s Kiffin if not it’s going to make Holiday College Football more miserable at LSU than it already is.
Drink on the other hand is a younger Les except what got Les street cred is that he could beat or upset ranked schools especially Oklahoma.
