I've seen many LSU fans throw out that Lane should sign/agree to terms with LSU today or tomorrow.
Assuming an absence of news, when will you lose confidence?

The official announcement was always next Saturday.
The hopes are a leak happens from signing the contract at an earlier date. Congrats on the attempt to troll.

It’s never over till it’s over. Period. Never has been. Everyone should know that by now but they run with everything. Now if he doesn’t come, it’s going to be a complete meltdown statewide. With political implications. It’s just insane.

Yes, those same sources have shifted from leaks happening today, until leaks happening Monday, to next weekend.
Considering Florida had a few weeks head start , I think sexton just used LSU to sweeten the Florida offer.

This is false. Ole Miss has already stated the news will be released next Saturday.

Even if Kiffin signs an agreement with LSU or UF, nothing is getting properly announced until after the Egg Bowl unless it leaks some other way. If Kiffin signs the extension with OM it will get announced immediately.
I don’t think anyone should be confident one way or another, unless UF or LSU make some out of left field hire announcement this week that would provide additional clarity on where Kiffin might go.

I don't think I was as clear as I should've been.
The announcement will happen next Saturday, but if a signing is supposed to take place today or tomorrow, and there are zero signs of it having happened, by what point in time does your confidence fade.

What would be clear signs of it not have happened? Your trying to troll because the inside guys are staying mute like Florida fans have boosted about their guys being since the beginning?

I didn't say clear signs of it not having happened.
I said zero signs of it having happened.
If there is no leak of information, if there is no signs of a meeting, if you get reports that it's not a done deal, etc.

I don’t think you understand, *if* a signing happens today there will be no signs of it happening as it would be run directly contrary to what Kiffin and OM have expressed - that an announcement not happen until after the Egg Bowl.
Interwebz trolling and bravado aside, no one should have a high degree of confidence. There are pros and cons for Kiffin at all three options.

The answer to my question for you is:
I don't think any information will leak out regardless of what happens and my confidence won't be impacted. I do caveat that no fanbase should be extremely confident.
See how easy that is?
