Listening to Marvin's favorite and Brandon Taylor last night. I mean the whole thing seemed to change when Tommy moffett was told to hit the door. Now I know a lot of people thought Tommy moffett had gotten not as strong with the strength and conditioning in the latter years. But man I tell you what from what I see out of the Aggies and how they respond in the second half. Go get him and bring him back

Fans could not separate lack of talent vs strength and conditioning. It is as easy as that.

Even if you're right bringing Moffitt back doesnt seem like the right play unless there isnt a good alternative.

At some point LSU has to move on from the Saban-era feel goodies. Theres lots of S&C guys out there to consider that might stick around for awhile.

Isnt Tommy Moffitt close to retirement now?

It was mostly just Alabama that was manhandling LSU in the 2nd half but they were doing it every year. Maybe the talent gap was that big but without doing a deep dive into NFL stats I don't think it was. Alabama's rosters were somewhat better but those Miles teams were fricking loaded.

It was the covid years. That's the reason for the decline. Not because Tommy changed.

Anyone saying that was an idiot. Moffitt was part of 3 national championship teams at LSU, that alone proves he adapts to anything as far as getting players ready to perform in any formation/play style.

He’s on of the best S&C coaches ever in college football.

BK firing him and letting Corey Raymond walk proved to me how stupid he was.

LSU 21 @ Kentucky 42

Kentucky rushed for 330 yards on 45 attempts (7.3 yards per rush)

Oh, I think the anti-Moffitt sentiment started well before the Opocalypse. They were getting out-toughed by Alabama year after year after year under Miles.

Also true. The season falling apart after the annual Bama beatdown was always bad.

I was just pointing out that we weren't just getting pushed around by more talented Bama teams at the end of Moffitt's tenure.

It was time for a change for both Moffitt and LSU.

I think you’re blaming the S&C coach too much and not directing your blame at first time and worst defensive coordinator ever, Daronte Jones.

So when LSU played well, it was because of Moffitt and when they played badly, it was because of the coordinators?

Moffitt had a great career at LSU and was a key part of LSU's success, but it was time for a change and he needed a reset to get his fire back.

It's not like he went right from LSU to A&M. He took some years off and then went to A&M.

After getting fired by Kelly in 2021, Moffitt got a fresh start in College Station when Mike Elko hired him to be Texas A&M's Director of Strength & Conditioning in 2024.

“To get his fire back”

Yes, when a team is playing extremely poorly at all levels of the game, it’s on the Head Coach first, who if you remember, completely lost the team. He gets players ready in the off season, and can only do so much with the environment that the Head Coach creates. It’s proven in his several national championships, and his continuation of success at a new school.

He’s one of the best to ever do it, and I truly don’t see any argument against how he is not a top tier S&C coach.

Just find someone that is good enough to skirt the NCAA testing policies, get the OL on some H and get them strong and mean AF for next season.

Also. Wasn’t Moffitt sick for a while?

Plus the HC has to enforce the rules that players work out. That slipped with some of the past coaches.

As motivation, Moffitt had to put a sign up of players who skipped workouts so the scouts can see it

Get someone off his S&C coaching tree. He’s put so many guys on in his time.
