I was sitting Gary Chouest's courtside seats right next to the bench when he broke his consecutive steals record against the Spurs. I was on camera talking to CP as they came out of the locker room for the second half.

Claim to fame.

1st ballot HOF lock! I will miss watching him lead our MEN in the Olympics to golden victory!

despite a sorta quiet end of the career, he's a unanimous 1st ballot HOFer

and he SHOULD have won the 2007-08 MVP Award, but the NBA decided to give it to Kobe Bryant as a lifetime achievement award at the time.

Kobe had never won a MVP and the Lakers were the #1 seed, but CP3 had the better individual numbers and the Hornets were the #2 seed. they justified it by team seeding, not individual statistics.

His own fault tbh. His best chance was in HOU but he was hurt and out of shape when it mattered most. He admitted after they traded him to OKC in 2020 that he needed a “Wake up call” in order to take his diet and training serious. Sad. .

You don’t think being up 2-0 in the NBA finals was his best chance?

Incredible career. Drafted same year as Deron Williams who has been out of the league 8 years now
