Drink is a good hire for say an Arkansas or South Carolina just not a premier program.

Exactly. His philosophy is good for winning games you shouldn’t with lesser talent.
It’s not good for maximizing talent advantage or aggressively exploiting matchups etc.
It’s a conservative TOP offense, like dollar store Les Miles — if Mizzou gets into a shootout or runs into competent offense / run defense they’re fricked.

Actually it’s not a good one in a lot of important ways. Drink may come off the same public image-wise, but he doesn’t share Mullen’s biggest weakness. Dan wasn’t willing to adjust moving from State to UF. He didn’t give a shite about recruiting and made that public.
Drink has embraced recruiting and landed a couple of 5 stars at Mizzou. He was early to embrace NIL and push for advantageous state laws to help them. He’s used the portal well.
He doesn’t have anything close to the program and fan buy-in that Ole Miss does, but he has still embraced all of the tools available as much as you can at Mizzou. I know Mullen was fired before NIL and the Portal became what they are right now, but he still didn’t fully embrace what was possible at UF and it got him fired.

He has priced himself out of the market for LSU. He isn’t a top 5 coach but wants to be paid like one and get a similar buyout as well I’m sure.

True frosh or not, Pribula is trash. Borderline triple option QB. Whose fault is it he’s starting?
They’re also 7-3 coming into this game.
They have twelve yards since the blocked FG. Their kicker also barely hit 35 yds over the crossbar. And they have a 35 yard punt in the first half.
Defense is serviceable. Hardy & their big possession receiver are the sole bright spots on the team.
