The traffic on this board has been undoubtedly running at ludicrous speed. I’ve never seen so many so deeply invested in their convictions of a coaching decision with so many insiders claiming done deals. But does anyone outside those buildings truly know? What if it’s all smoke and no fire? What happens if it doesn’t happen? The melt on this board will be of epic proportions.

Personally, I’d love to see what Kiffin could do here and I hope he does make the move. I’m just struggling with the idea that a coach who has his team in the middle of a dream season with the opportunity to compete for a Natty would consider jumping ship this close to the goal with so much to play for. Further, why allow this much noise and distraction?

I’m not neck deep in this thing like a lot of people are. It’s been fun to watch the spin. It will be fun to watch the end of this thing play out whether it happens or it doesn’t. The celebration or the melt will be equally entertaining.

Then we'll hire a different coach and move forward

This. And the fact that Kiffin will really have soured relationships around Ole Miss. Yeah, they’d take him back, but the way he has strung them along will leave behind permanent embitterments all through their program.

If we get Kiffin… great, Go win

If we don’t get Kiffin, and get someone else… great, Go win

It DOES NOT matter if we’re happy/sad/disappinted/meh/excited/melt for a hire. All that matters is what Plays out on the field the next 1-5 years. Go win football games, whoever you are.

Then the posters will blame Landry. If Lane does come, all the idiots who shouted to the roof tops about Landry ruining LSU will be silent.

We then hire Dilly and life moves on and he wins a title.

It’s embarrassing BK couldn’t win here

I don't think this is a done deal at all so as long as we don't hire Drinkwitz, I'll be fine.

We'll all be so heckin sad and wonder why it seems like we have such shitty luck.

Lane should pick us 8 out of 10 times but based on history it seems like we only get what we deserve like 3 out of 10 times.

If drink picks up steam we will have to pull a vol fan like they did with schiano or like Aggy did with mark stoops when their boosters rioted. It’s better to end up with a circus for a week then hire a known loser like Drink
