Sounds like Ole Miss has basically removed themselves from the situation and are moving towards finding their next coach. Unless I'm reading the tea leaves all wrong

I just saw when he said this past Saturday when they packed the stadium with 68,000. He’s got to know if he comes to LSU and plays Bama or Ole Miss it’s going to be lit, we talking 102,000 crazies Blue Bloods. That’s exactly what he wants. Come on Lane you have peaked at Pississippi!

Lane doesn’t give a shite and that’s his super power. If he stays at OM, he won’t give a frick if people were mad at him cause they’ll get over it.
It’s the same reason I’m not nervous about the pressure he’ll be under if he goes to LSU. The fricker just has the right composition to handle it. For better or worse.

If this was the case, the AD wouldn't have released the statement about an announcement next Saturday.
Ole Miss is the team with the CFP on the line. If they genuinely believed they could still keep him, they wouldn't have set a timeline, and LSU and Florida would be on the clock to decide how much longer they wait.
