to be our DC.
Did our D not hold maybe every team we faced below their season average in scoring, and doing so with an offense who was 3 and out more oftethe con than not?
Baker is the highest paid DC in America and I think did a great job this year with some major injuries.
Are we really going to release Raymond and others again?
Williams sold his home in Squire Creek to move to BR and is treated like this?
I am ashamed of LSU if they put all their hopes on a guy that has never won anything , anywhere, because they think he will improve our offense, and that is probably true.
But, if our defense is like it was last year when we had the Heisman winner and best offense in the country, and one of the worst defenses in the country.
Is LSU going to hire Lane and have half a team yet again?
Do these people making the decisions know anything about winning football, because they are hiring a new crew that doesn't.

We need a complete overhaul of position coaches.

Disagree.

You keep Frank and Corey for relatinoships alone. Not everyone is worth their weight in that, but those guys are.

I'm kinda stumped at how people don't think Baker is doing a tremendous job. It's year 2 and with a lot of transfers. You really think he's doing a bad job?

Also Peoples. I feel like he's been pretty good as well.

Lanes DC is Golding, who has done a good job at Ole Miss and he is one of Kiffin's top personnel guys in terms of the portal, the other is his GM.

If Lane is hired, he is going to hire who he wants to hire. That is the business of coaching.

Idk. Other threads are saying Golding won’t go with him.

And they gotta stop the basketball shite on the sideline if he does indeed come here.

What didn't you like about our d performance this past year, especially with key players injured for several games. Any offense at all, and LSU is in the playoffs imho.

and that is exactly why I would not hire LK
If our D can't stay in tack with a new HC, then we are hiring the wrong guy.

Sorry but I'm not looking for a carbon copy of the ole is staff.

I want Kiffin. I don't necessarily want all the pieces around him. I think Baker is better than Golding.

Lsu’s defense maybe okay, but its not worth your comment.

Our defense is currently 43rd in yards per play. Its, decent

Baker isn’t a position coach.

Keep Frank, get rid of the rest.

You seem to not know how this works. Any decent head coaching candidate is going to be allowed to fill out his own staff.

tiger91: Well I think if Lane is coaching, he is going to run the program the way he runs it. He is in someway like Saban and learned from him. When Saban got here, he came in and told everyone to get out his way and everybody do ur job and let him do his.

Now he might not bring the basketball stuff on the sideline, but maybe he does. Who knows with Lane?

Not sure. Kyle Williams can come back to Ruston though. Their defense has not been nearly as good since he left. I would keep Frank in some capacity whether coaching or some sort of recruiting role.

You could make a good case for Frank, Corey Raymond, and Kyle Williams. Baker has been great outside of stopping a qb that can run, which in this era of football, is a big deal.

Nobody will give 2 shits about this if we are winning national championships.

Oh please !! Just stop it. What exactly was Kiffin supposed to win at Ole Miss? He's got them on course for their fourth Top Ten finish in the last five seasons. That hasn't been done at Ole Miss since the early 1960's.....over 60 years ago. If the man can do that at Ole Miss then I can't wait to see what he can do at LSU. Doesn't he deserve the right to hire the assistant coaches that he feel most confident in? I hope he keeps, Wilson, Baker and Raymond as well but if he doesn't then so be it.
