Or do the DEI figs have it labeled as taboo?

Has anyone actually stopped you from saying Merry Christmas in your life or are you just screaming at a cloud?

You may say whatever you like.

Always could.

You are just a whining child, upset when an adult suggested alternatives for use with non-Christian acquaintances.

In all seriousness, is your Christianity so fragile that it can survive only when given complete societal exclusivity?

Such a poor victim.

Just remember this: Jews have been saying "Happy Hanukah" 200 years longer than anyone was saying "merry Christmas".

And the Greeks and Romans were celebrating the Winter Solstice, when the days start becoming longer again, for hundreds of years before that.

The Christians are Johnny-Come-Latelies to the celebration of the Winter Solstice. I don't why you people have to insist on owning it. It ain't yours.

It's funny some think such terms are needed. Just tell the story of the first Thanksgiving. It's all there. The injuns saved their arse. Thanks indeed.

I’m “friends” and acquaintance with a Muslim guy who I’ve done a lot of significant vintage baseball card transactions with over past 5 years or so. He always makes it a point to message me “Merry Christmas” each Christmas Day. I actually do appreciate and respect that.

Hanukah was a very minor holiday for most of that time. It arose to greater prominence specifically to "compete" with Christmas.

With that being said, almost every religion on the planet celebrates some sort of holiday at or near the Winter Solstice.

How petty and insecure must some Christians be, to refuse acknowledgment of that fact and to refuse to share simple friendly holiday greetings with members of those other religions?

It's intolerance of others from those who demand tolerance from others.

There's a word for that...

Yes, as long as it's not a winter of severe illness and death.

I allow myself to say it. That’s all that I’ve ever needed.
