I'm okay with Lane leaving if he doesnt want to be here.
I think it's a slap in the face to his seniors on the Ole Miss team to leave going into the school's first ever playoff. Should have been handled after the season.

This is no longer an option if a coach is fired midseason.

That guy did everything for you guys. He turned you into something special. And now he wants to do that somewhere else. Whether it’s because of more resources or more money or recruiting opportunity, why can’t y’all just be happy for the guy? It’s not his fault that the timing is this way. He has busted his arse for you guys for a long time.

Blame Ole Miss for that. Could've handled this all in house and came up with a solution (IF he decides to leave) that would've been best for everyone. Don't know who leaked it to get to make a decision sooner, but it's just a distraction to the team and fans uncertain about whats going on. The calendar sucks and does need to be addressed to adapt to changes in the playoffs. It does suck for any school.

Timing is not his fault. You have to jump when you’re hot. If you’re going to jump. And he wants to jump, this is the time to do it. Be happy that he gave you the opportunities that he gave you.
