Amen..horrible.
Bottom line is the Jedi's unwillingness to allow attachment's and teach Jedi how to handle them was their downfall. They got caught up in their own bullshite.

How did it manage to exist for 1000's of years then?
Finally caught up to them sounds as contrived as Darth Maul surviving or somehow Palpatine returning. shite just happens because the SW universe needs to happen. Which is fine for a kid's show but doesn't lead to believable world building.

This is too early for this debate..LOL. I need to slam more coffee for this.
In the Pre Disney era, force sensitive people were snatched up by the Jedi at a very young age. After Disney took over everyone and their uncle were force sensitive so it's already a mess.
My answer to your 1000 year comment is the Jedi Dogma had a cumulative effect over the centuries and they became so confident in their own bullshite they didn't believe they were vulnerable. Even Yoda mentioned the over confidence that had creeped into the young jedi.
The Sith are the masters of the long game. Palpatine was the perfect puppetmaster just waiting for the right person.

something that throws me off with these AI videos is the excessive lip/mouth movements when they are talking. No one moves their lips and mouths that much when they are talking.

The excessive dialogue also makes for awkward and unnatural looks while they go on and on with a monologue of epic proportions. None of it looks natural but i guess it is improving from where it once was.

Sad thing was there are dozens and dozens of books with GREAT star wars stories.
Had the sequels been based off of Heir to the Empire it would have been great. Mara Jade, Joruus C A both. Thrawn. Then bring in outside the galaxy threats.
Instead... let's build a death star planet that can destroy any planet across hyperspace.
Let's have THOUSANDS of star destroyers built in secret. Clone Palpatine doesn't bother me as much as clones were an issue in the EU but the way it was done. But the most unforgivable choice was what they did to Luke. TLJ totally made me lose my fandom of Star Wars. Every choice made was dumb.
He sees the good in Darth Vader but wants to kill his nephew because he may turn evil?
Just dumb.
