Never used or had one. Thinking of trying a cheaper model less than $100. Anyone know of a good one? Just need basic yardage.

i had a $50 tektek one off amazon that worked great for years.

Red Dragon rangefinders are excellent and run about $70.

Bushnell tour hybrid is what I use. It's fantastic.

Read reviews off Amazon. Cheap ones work just as well as the more expensive ones. I think mine cost $70 and that was two years ago. Probably cheaper and just as good today.

you found one of these for less than $100, or just flexing?

I have this one also.
Not cheap - I used my playing partner's rangefinder last week.
Wasn't a fan.
Get spoiled w/ the pinseeker, BITE magnet, GPS also w/ FMB yardages

I've had 2 tekteks. One lasted about a year, 2nd one lasted 4 months. Wish mine was as good as yours. I'll never buy from them again because of it.
Anyone ever use a Mileseey range finder? They seem to have the lower cost ones ( $129) up to the top of the line model for $799 (holy crap btw)
Mileseey website
Neat, but don't need a touchscreen hole layout. I'm good with just shooting distances.

It's not under $100, but I got a Vortex. I have some of their stuff for my rifles. Reason I went with them is the lifetime warranty. You can apparently send stuff back to them in pieces and they'll replace it. So as long as I don't lose it, I hope to never buy another.

They Callaway 300 Pro is on sale on Amazon for like 124. I’ve had one of those before and really enjoyed it. There’s several on Amazon in the 75 dollar range so I’d pick one of those if your truly trying to stay under 100

Acer brand off of amazon, well under a 100 bucks and accurate as hell

I've been shopping around for my 1st one and I've been eyeballing their PF260. They have discount code and prob landing here unless I get convinced otherwise.

If you do want to go a little nicer, precision pro has great range finders. My only issue was it took a month for mine to come in.

Left my nice Bushnell at Oakwing in Alexandria. Called them and they said "O yea we see it right here" and they'll ship it back to me if I just pay for shipping. Cool. Guy shipped it overnight for $35, like jeez buddy I didn't need it that fast but whatever thank you.
Open the box up and they send me a new in the box Redbird brand rangefinder. It's like a $40 rangefinder. So when I was on the phone with you when you said you see my Bushnell slope rangefinder you were actually looking at an off brand rangefinder new in the box?
Cart barn kids probably had my Bushnell sold on eBay the next day.

So can you buy a rangefinder for hunting and use it for golf? Or vice versa? Don’t really need one for hunting cause 99% of shots are 100yds or less, but might as well have one that can do both. Didn’t know if there was a difference

I have this Callaway and I like it a lot. Seems a little better than the tekteks and other similar about grabbing the flag. Love the magnet. Battery lasts a long time. Also it's not huge like some of the cheaper ones. Would buy again.

Yes. My brothers golf rangefinder is technically a hunting rangefinder. Most of the new golf rangefinders have slope/elevation adjustment so it can adjust the yardage depending on how much uphill/downhill the flag is. I'm sure the hunting ones do the same.

I use my golf range finder for shooting as well. Just ignore the slope number as that's purely meant for an average gilf ball flight, not a bullet. Note some golf range finders may be limited to 600-700 yards. Not that you'd ever hunt that far, but I have guns meant to shoot out to 1000 yards at the range, so tried to find one with the most available distance.
