Retail giant Target is planning a new store in Livingston Parish.
A listing on the Louisiana Commercial Database shows Target outparcels available for lease, including a site plan for a 128,000-square-foot store at the northwest corner of Juban Road and Juban Crossing Boulevard.
The plan also outlines a roughly 75,000-square-foot junior anchor space adjacent to Target, with proposed tenants, including Homesense, Burlington Coat Factory, Sierra, Trader Joe’s and another retailer.
Livingston Parish Assistant Planning Director Natalie Allen tells Daily Report that the planning department has received plans for the Target store, which are under review by engineers. The project has not yet been placed on a public meeting agenda. Once the review is complete, it will be added, she says.

Millerville Target numbers are about to crash.

Honestly....they can afford to lose some. The parking there has been nuts lately.
The Siegen one is even worse.

The Juban/I-12 area is building up a lot. Baton Rouge General is opening a smaller hospital on the SW corner of that interchange too.
Traffic is going to be pretty bad there. Target and Trader Joe's shoppers always seem to all be in their own little world - completely oblivious to everything around them. Hopefully they can build out the link to Pete's highway and Range Avenue before the Target is built out.

Target Christmas commercials right now are tone deaf and opulent. That’s all I got.

Ascension AND Livingston? The only people left at the TJ's on Perkins will be the nose ring crowd.
I'd be surprised if we don't see a TJ's open up in either northern Ascension or on Pecue@I-10 when that interchange is finally built.

Columbia just got a Trader Joes and it's fricking awesome. Pretty much everything there is good. They are the kings of easy to make frozen meals, snacks, and produce. Also have a good meat section.

I'm content with the new Waffle House and the late night entertainment that will bring.

Will they be selling pseudoephedrine and precursors?

I'd finally be able to go. Bring it on. Open them everywhere!

Hell yea. Soon won't have to leave Juban/Walker for almost anything.

Oh it's a great little novelty store, but the I'd rather stick knives through my eyeballs than deal with it 90% of the time in BR.
Twice a year is my max, and I went last week (after trying 2 days prior and leaving before I even parked) so I'll have to try back in the late spring.

Parking lot in BR is entirely too small.

I'm sure that's in the works soon. They are careful with real estate. Not a lot of margin in groceries, but they have very specific target audiences. Same ones as Sierra, Sephora, most pet stores, etc.
I'm sure one will pop up in Covington soon. Kind of surprised they landed at Juban Road.

It was good until they opened a Lululemon and Sephora in the same damn spot. No parking now; and it's really hard to get out of there.
