A good portion of our fanbase will shite if we hire another Morris from Texas, I won't be disappointed if we hire him.

Hire Morris to start his own legacy. Young, Offensive mind from the Leach/Kingsbury tree. Hire him on the cheap with incentives. No Alma mater BS. He checks the boxes aside from SEC experience. Keep the defensive staff and Frank.
His N Tx team is 9-1. They sit tied at the top of the American conference with 1 loss navy, who they defeated. They’ve also defeated army. Lost to S Fla (Golesh) and do not play Tulane (Sumrall). Hence, current resumes are pretty much the same amongst the 3. N Tx also curb stomped Waazu 59-10. Most of the N Tx scores are big. Lots of firepower. Morris, Golesh and Sumrall are all still alive for an American Conf title.

How do we know this? He’s in year 3 coaching at the fbs level and the only good team they played this year beat them by 30.

He may be good, or he may get to a big time program and completely flame out and not be able to handle it.

QB’s he’s had a hand in developing:
Patrick Mahomes
Baker Mayfield
Cam Ward

His current QB didn’t play qb in high school and he’s currently a top 10 qb

Nice statistics. What is the list of teams this was accomplished against?

The current state of LSU can’t accomplish these numbers vs LA Tech or Southeastern

Exactly, and I don't want to hire somebody else that wouldn't against this competition. Doing that against Southeastern Texas State University - Beaumont doesn't necessarily tell us anything.

Part of me would prefer him over Kiffin.

Kiffin seems to shoot himself in the foot every season esp in big games. I like him but that does concern me.

Morris has coached in one big game and gave up nearly 70 points and got waxed

I want Lane or Morris.

But yet look at what he is playing with. That goes both ways.

Same. I wish he would get more interest.

You really going to make the comparison of a young up and coming coach at a small school, to an established coach who’s been playing multiple big games for the past 6 years at P5 school and nothing to show for it?

I’m fine with either of these guys. But part of me would rather take a chance on the guy who has had way less to work with and way less opportunities to prove himself.
