Watching Sportscenter and Heather Denich is on.

She said she’s surprised Bama is ranked below Notre Dame in the playoff ranking.

Her reason was because Bama has more TOP 22 wins.

Since when has ANYONE ever used top 22 as a measuring stick?

They did beat UGA on the road and Missouri on road. FSU bad loss but OU is good.

If we’re using the resume test, Alabama is better.

If we’re using the eye test, I definitely think Notre Dame is a better football team.

Notre Dame made Arkansas look like a JV team in Fayetteville. Arkansas has been really tough and competitive against every SEC opponent they’ve played.

ND would struggle with Bama, UGA and Aggie beat ND & struggled with Arkie too

Barely

(Also that was at the very beginning of the season. Bama looked horrible back then too.)

LMAO...please explain how Alabama should be above Notre Dame.....obviously IM a Notre Dame fan. So lets break this down....Notre Dame lost right out of the gate two games against two ranked teams....Miami and Texas A&M....and they lost by a combined 4 points. Notre Dame throttled Arkansas by 43 which all the SEC team had a problem beating them by one score. Alabama lost by 14 points to a sorry arse Florida State team.....again Notre Dames two losses came to ranked teams by a combined 4 points.....lmao at LSU fans thinking Alabama should be above Notre Dame.

If you think Notre Dame should be ranked above Bama then you shouldn’t be allowed to vote or reproduce. Bama has wins over Georgia, Tenn, Missouri, and Vandy. What’s Notre Dame’s best win? USC? Arkansas? GTFO

She’s just saying top 22 instead of top 25 because Bama’s ranked wins are all in the top 22 of the top 25.

It really depends on how much you hold their bad loss to FSU against them vs two close top 15 losses for ND of a combined 4 points.

Alabama wins are significantly better as ND’s best win right now is USC.

Bama has proven more in their wins. ND is ahead solely because they had losses early

Another insecure "Bama" thread. God, our fans suck.

Notre Dame has a 3 point loss to #11 and 1 point loss to #3 team in the country.

Bama was manhandled by a 5 loss Florida State team. Folks say, yeah but that was the 1st game of the season. Well it was. It’s part of their record THIS season. Anyone that has watched Bama sees them struggle each week (except at UGA and TN is overrated), including a miracle to beat USCe. I think Notre Dame whips Bama.

And Miami should be ranked ahead of the Irish.

The “better losses” argument is for, well, losers.

With Bama soft against the run, Notre Dame would probably beat them this year.

BOTH ARE RANKED IN TOP 12
Irish ranked 9
Tide ranked 10

Both will win out and be in the playoffs, it is pointless argument on who is better, getting into the playoffs is the goal, getting a bye is reward for finishing in the top 4 highest ranked.
Most likely neither Notre Dame nor Alabama will finish in top 4

If either or both teams do lose then most likely a 3-team loss will not get in this late in the season

Whether you like it or not, the "better losses argument" is part of the conversation within that committee and absolutely factors into choosing 8-12. Anyone with eyes, ears and half a brain understands this.

My post also suggests Bama has struggled, especially on offense. Notre Dame vs. Bama right now, Notre Dame beats them by at least two scores.
