Plan B ??

I’m on the Kiffin train as our first choice, but if we fail to lure him away we have to have a backup plan.
My biggest concern is blowing this whole thing up and getting some guy “Dilly/Heupel”who will fire the whole staff and take years to rebuild roster.
Frank imo needs to be retained for the current players not to leave for new NIL money and for current recruit commitments not to seek out new teams.
Do we just hire a top play caller OC like Mack Leftwich at TT and just roll with majority of our current staff, Fire Brad, name Baker or Frank head coach and let’s ride ??
Interested in y’all’s thoughts???

you explain to the new coach who knows what, who is good etc....then you let him choose. you recommend he keep certain people but not require it and you certainly dont do what you said

You have to give the new coach full control of who he wants on staff. For recruiting and some continuity, you'd think he would keep Wilson and Raymond for sure. With NIL/transfer portal, it no longer would "take years to rebuild roster".

No. There needs to be a culture shift at LSU, and that only comes from bringing in a head coach from the outside.

Plan B is for TigerDroppings to study what SMU did in the 80's with the slush fund going all the way up to the governor and duplicating that. TD will be the czar and bank. Every sale in Louisiana (from bubble gum to cars and houses) will cough up 1% to the TigerDroppings slush fund. Even our kicker will be making $1M plus. We will also have excess funds to import Swiss, Russian and Eastern European exchange student snowbunnies for the team.
