Tired of hearing about the “prestige” of the Catholic league

Insisting on Holy Cross, St Aug and Shaw playing up to appease the high and mighty Jesuit and Brother Martin is dumb. Those two schools have been jerking everybody’s chain in that league for far too long and neither one has any chance of winning that league any time soon. Makes much more sense to play at your enrollment level for Shaw, Rummel (maybe), Holy Cross and St Aug. Throw in St Charles Catholic playing up and De La Salle and you have a great competitive league! Problem is no one has the guys to do it and tell the other two to kick rocks.

The sad part is HC especially could be winning championships at their rightful level…

You have no fricking clue what you speak of. Let me say this, I do not think BM is forcing the hands of anyone, Jesuit, maybe

What really irks me is that all of the members aren't Catholic schools (Edna Karr, John Curtis).

Curtis and Karr are both in that league, aren't they playing up also?

Brother Martin and Jesuit don’t give a damn what holy cross does. HC administration is who insists on HC playing up.
I don’t blame them. Kids who grow up at holy cross grow up wanting to beat Jesuit, BM, St. Aug, rummel, etc.

Been on both sides of “the rivalry.” Imo it’s awesome that they’ve played for so long, but to Jesuit it’s just another district game (BM is a much bigger rival to the kids). Means much more to HC because they don’t have any other rivals (Chalmette, but HC is the Jesuit in that one)

BM is the abbreviation for Bowel Movement.

Jesuit is 1-9 vs Martin in last 10 football meetings. Not good for the "kids" at Jesuit.
Jesuit is 6-4 vs HC in last 10 football meetings. That looks a little more like a rivalry.

How exactly are either of those schools in a position to dictate anything to the others?
We see how much influence they have with Shaw and DLS and as for the others, how precisely were they coerced into playing up?
Additionally, you do understand that they all compete in sports other than football, right?
Do high and mighty Jesuit and Brother Martin have any shot at winning the league in any of the other sports in which they all compete?

When DLS left I think they had gone 25 years without making playoffs in football.
With a shrinking demographic at the pace at which catholic schools are competing for students - they are much less concerned about each other.
