Suggesting LSU brass had delusional expectations in a loaded sec

Argued Kelly didn’t fail since he won 10 games back to back his first two years

Thinks gov involvement and high pressure expectations makes the job less desirable

Suggested LSU is in the Oklahoma tier of good jobs.

This guy is a bozo lol

Isn’t OU one of the blue-est blue bloods behind bama and ohio state?

He still has a show? Good for him I guess. I haven’t listened to that guy in ages. He is consistently wrong with his takes

He's a USC homer so anything good for LSU is not good at all for them.

Kiffin is not looking for job security that is why he is attractive for LSU, otherwise, it would be another BK.

The same guy that went on a rant about how LA isn't an NFL town and then a month later (when the Rams announced the move) he had a full segment on why LA is a great NFL town?

Spot on. But there is nothing wrong with it. LSU can see the writing on the wall that it's playoffs or bust. LSU won a natty in 2019 and should be in play for one every season by making CFP.

Spot on. I can see a coach having enough confidence in himself to look past it and take the job.

I've said this before, LSU is not a Top 5 job. Top 10 yes, but not a top tier job.

Only if being a blue-blood in a different era makes you a blue-blood for life.

OU is not the OU of the 80s & 2000s

Yet you don't hear BK's name being mentioned by anyone as a potential hire for any of the top tier job openings lol

Cowherd knows very little about college sports. He's much more adept talking pro sports so take his opinion with a large grain of salt.

If the coach was anybody but Brian Kelly, with that record, he is likely still the head coach.

The problem with Brian Kelly was that he was so unlikeable nationwide, combined with the fact that he was not winning, Kelly (and LSU) were becoming the butt of jokes and it was starting to damage the LSU brand.
