Can we just talk about if Kiffin doesn't pan out?

We have put every egg in this basket and I feel like all other names have fallen by the wayside.

So just humor me. Who else is on your list if Kiffin is off the table?

Yeah starting to prepare myself for a massive troll by Kiffin.
So: Kelvin Sheppard and/or Brian Hartline (performance based) then Eric Morris then Brent Key.

Firmly believe that Drink would not be that successful here.

They're gonna take a hard look at Drink if Kiff falls through.

So what you’re saying is LSU won’t have a coach next year?

This does give you some pause as a fan. He already did this with auburn a couple of years ago. He told them yes then backed out.

I won't believe it until lsu says the contract is signed and ole miss concurs.

What bothers me about this is that this whole city tour by Layla has been so public and they made sure everyone would know. I would think if you are dead serious considering a move to a place. You would want to pop in unannounced to the public.

Lane has Gainesville on his Radar

I don't like our chances, not to be negetive.

Lots of external factors lean Florida way.

1.No State Income Tax: This is a financial benefit for the coach
2.Disney(who would like to go to Disney with the best Hotel and Resort arrangements.)
3. Lane Kiffin's former wife, Layla Reaves, has a strong connection to the University of Florida through her father, John Reaves, who was an All-American quarterback for the Gators and later a coach for the team.
4 This familial history gives Kiffin a personal connection to Florida's football program, as their first date was at Florida Field.
5.Kiffin's admiration for Gator legend Steve Spurrier has a long history. As a kid, he idolized Spurrier's swagger and offensive style.

I'm LSU 100% but not everyone sees thing alike... LSU beats most team for Glory and Recruiting Players, but some schools have other advantages we just can't match.

I remember we were supposed to wake up one morning and read Tom Herman was our new HC. That flipped quickly.

These rumors are fun to follow, but I won’t believe anything until it’s signed.

This board maybe. But we don’t have any idea what names the committee has and whether all eggs went into one basket.

Y’all just keep beating that Sheppard drum. Might as well just hire Frank if that’s truly the move. Mediocrity at its finest

Okay, I don't disagree. The point of this thread is, who DO you like to come in and take the job?

I know how downvoted I’ll get but I’d seriously sit down with O and see if he’s gotten his midlife crisis out of his system.

Woodward fired him way too quickly after going 15-0. One bad season, not even going to count the Covid exhibition year.
