Will LSU have a coach 2 weeks from today?

Thamel broke the Kelly hiring the Monday after thanksgiving. I will be surprised if timing isn’t the same, considering ole miss is wanting an answer from Kiffin before the playoffs. So the evening of Dec 1 I bet we know.

That would be ideal so we can keep our recruiting class together and start working on the portal

IF it does end up being Lane, with Ole Miss hell bent on running him off ASAP for an answer we may know sooner.
If I was Ole Miss I would play this the complete opposite way. Best chance for a Natty in a generation. Let him coach the playoffs and maybe if you end up making a deep run he decides to stay.
Instead you give him an ultimatum and tell him to pick by the egg bowl. Ruining all chance of keeping him and pissing on your Natty chance.

If he goes to Florida or LSU, he will be gone in two weeks. No school is going to let an outgoing coach stay while he is actively recruiting for a rival or Florida.

If we haven't announced by the 7th, then our future coach is in the playoffs.

My guess is no. They will face a clearer direction on where we will be going in the search

LSU has a coach. His name is Frank Wilson. Just keep him and move on.
