Schmidt had an incredible outing. Also spotted Tommy Tanks in the Chief dugout. I'm pretty sure that Zach Yorke's future is in stand up comedy if baseball doesn't pan out.
Thanks for the stats Scuba!

Team Chief struck out 13 times in 28 at bats today. Team Jamie struck out 8 times in 28 at bats as well. Both teams drew a total of 8 walks between them. There were also 7 hit by pitches.

Thank you for putting these together.
Between these threads and the others that have the play by play for the scrimmages, us LSU baseball fans are really lucky.
Is there anyone in these scrimmages that stands out to you who may not be on our radar yet?

Omar Serna has a high ceiling but needs reps to improve his defense. I'm confident that coach Jordan can help him with this.
Daniel Harden has one of the nicest swings on the team and along with William Patrick and Mason Braun could be our starting outfield next year if they all stick around.
On the mound, We have IMO, the deepest talent I've seen at LSU. I think we have 5-6 weekend starters on our roster this year. We also have 2-3 potential closers and alot of options to fill the gap between these guys. The roles will work themselves out next spring and I am optimistic we will be difficult to score on during the season.
Overall, I think we will have a few more power bats on the roster than last season but our defense may not be as solid as last years' record setting fielding percentage team. But, as said earlier, we won't have to out slug many opponents to win games.
Take all my predictions with a grain of salt as in past years, some players who looked great in fall tend to disappear in spring. Also the newcomers seem to improve over semester break sometimes.

Thanks for the breakdown, I appreciate it. I'm definitely excited to see the pitching this team has. It'll obviously be difficult to replace Kade and Anthony, but we have some players returning that certainly have the potential to be good. I hope Guidry can remain healthy and continue to develop, he could play a huge role on this team.
It'll be interesting to see how the infield shakes out outside of Milam. We should definitely expect to take a step back defensively, but hopefully it won't be too drastic.

Wheres York been? Haven't seen him in last few updates. Is he shutdown?

This team better be able to pitch because they sure as hell can’t hit.

Yorke, Milam, and the 3 starting outfielders all sat it out today.

Curiel should be back by February if the ankle injury is accurate.

Ruckert must have some pop in that bat. What's he have 3hrs this fall?
Posted on 11/16/25 at 10:00 pm to LesnarF5
I saw every projected starter who has been mentioned as "shut down" in the dugout today except for Curiel.
