Frank Wilson is NOT a serious candidate

Are some of you people such emotional women that you think an interim coaching getting a few lame duck wins makes him deserving?
A couple of nice words in a press conference has you all sold? He has been awful everywhere….why on earth does he deserve a shot as HC here?
I’ll tell you this: keep making positive posts about Frank Wilson being the permanent HC, and that’s exactly what you’ll get. The admin and verge would be lazy af just like the AD hire was lazy because they think they can get away with it.
If Frank is named head coach, think about his chances going toe to toe with Elko, Kiffin, and smart. It’ll be a disaster.

I’m curious if other fanbases worry this much about the interim coach getting the permanent job. This is weird.

Not weird. We just know what the LSU administration has done in the past like Bill arnsparger. Recommending that we hire Mike Archer as head coach and we leave Steve Spurrier out of the migs. I think he even got left at the airport so the rumor goes. And what does the hell Arnsparger does goes over to Florida and hires Steve Spurrier the next at Ogeron the binder. And hey granted he gave us a national championship but his last two years he checked out is about as bad as Brian Kelly. That's what we are afraid of. We support Frank. We want him to do well. We do not want him nor does he deserve to be head coach permanently

There’s a lot of similarities too. Except the team doesn’t look as good as that team did in 2016. But it’s a local boy. He loves LSU. He’s fighting. And I love Frank Wilson. I think most people do. So I can understand why some people are worried about it.

I completely agree but just imagine if he was actually a good coach. With his background he would be a home run hire but unfortunately his record proves he’s not a quality choice

Not weird at all.
We just made the laziest hire of all time in a cover up expert at AD.
We have fans literally on this board clamoring for Frank because he beat a 2-7 team.
We literally hired an interim back in 2016 when it seemed ridiculously implausible.

It’s not weird at LSU. O got the interim tag removed and Archer was hired over Spurrier from within the staff. The assumption here is Wilson is the default favorite until proven otherwise. 1 or 2 more wins could seal this if Kiffin says no.

Yeah I wish he was a quality coach but his record indicates he isn’t. He doesn’t even do a good job with the RBs honestly.

Here is my fear:
Kiffin drags us along dangerously close to the portal. No reason to believe he wouldn’t screw over a rival. We then make a panic hire of Frank to “keep the recruits.” And instead of our fans rioting and demanding better like UT did over Schiano and TAMU did over Stoops, our fans would take it like the bitches we are.

Some people may be a little wary given we have actually previously promoted an interim to head coach.

A few things are different. There’s no coordinated media campaign to hire Frank and Verge isn’t Joe Alleva, at least until he proves that he is.

We hired Curley Hallman, Joe Alleva, kept Les Miles then fired him 4 games into the next season, Hired Ed O, Fired our best Basketball Coach of all time and then neglected it for 4 years. Also, we just hired Verge! lol. You seriously don’t think Frank Wilson is a possible candidate??? It sounds insane but I fully expect it.

Some people wanted Cadillac at Auburn after he won a game. I do hope whomever?? they hire will keep Frank on staff but it is not his obligation or deal breaker if he doesn’t. Frank’s recruiting and knowledge of this state is something he excels in and would be nothing but good imo. It’s still the NEW Coaches decision and if the politics in our search dictates he has to, then this New coach will already know this may not be the job for him. If said New Coach wants & knows the unique situation Frank is in LSU and decides he will keep Frank then all the better.
Because if CBK keeps Corey R, Blake B maybe he would not be in this mess. Then again CBK never had his soul into LSU.
