as I’m sure you are aware, opinions differ on that. Haven’t been in a while though so glad to hear it was good

Oriental Pearl is the best buffet in that area by far.

Hunan’s in the mid to late 90’s was arguably the best Chinese restaurant in the entire region.

Oriental Pearl, across the street, is better, but it is in need of a facelift, I thought the "Genghis Khan Ate Here", sign was a joke, maybe not. I hope Hunan has rebounded. When my wife was teaching, some of their kids were in her classes, we used to be invited to eat in the back with the owners, their selections were very different than they served the public. I leaned to like chicken feet, they made it from scratch.

Went a while back, I too thought it was still very good.
Went with a bunch of friends about a month ago, to O Pearl, it was good. Kind of like Hunans, to me.

I`ve gone 3 times this year. One was good and the other two not so much.

Most of the trays had just a little bit of food in each tray , which they were fresh but if you liked something and other people ate the same item now it`s empty. Hunan pork item was fantastic.

One time there were flies, which i know sometimes that happens.

The guy who I think is the owner seemed very nice.

I`m not trying to bash the place but i think a few less desserts and a couple more lunch/dinner options and some non-raw sushi options like California roll or imitation crab and cream cheese would be nice.

I remember all of the pictures of famous people that were hanging on the walls throughout the restaurant. A lot of famous people went to Hunan back in the day.
