Very interesting!

As I suspected, the town of Woodworth has an average employee salary of $50,000/year…that’s approximately $20,000 more than the next highest town in Louisiana.

Why i posted this. Most stated have their own, but this let's you search all. Its sickening how many highly paid govt employees there are in every state.

Long gone are the days when a govt pension was a reward for taking a lower paying job than the private sector.

Nice database. Apparently my salary increased by 56.9% from 2016 to 2023, and it’s gone up more since then.

Our department actually negotiated an across the board raise at one point to help with employee retention. A little extra money makes it easier to deal with the endless bureaucratic bullshite, but I still sometimes miss the freedom of private practice.

Especially civil or environmental engineering. Work in the public sector long enough to get your PE. Then you can keep going up the ladder in the progression series or jump to the private sector.

Now do the air traffic controllers.

They make $150k+ and MSM has spent the past month claiming they’ve been calling out to work uber for the past month because they can’t miss a paycheck.
