Putting aside the personal feelings because he apparently shunned us last time… would you prefer Drinkwitz over Riley? I personally would not and I think Riley and Baker could be an interesting offensive/defensive combo…
I would take Lincoln Riley over a lot of other names being mentioned outside of Kiffin.

Riley vs Kiffin what’s the real difference?

Neither. But in this case I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want the guy who’s been successful in the SEC rather than the guy who was scared of it.

One is a proven winner in the SEC, the other is not.

Riley did beat LSU and A&M last season, TBF.

Agree with Captain Crown
They play a soft schedule, same as last year.
2 quality opponents going 1-1, same as last year.

Regardless, I would love to see what he could do at LSU.

If it was between those two only it would have to be Riley.

Wouldn't make sense to pay Drink for what he has done..and the fact that fit wise wouldn't line up either.

At least Riley has won big in the past and maybe it's just a USC thing. Don't really want him either but that would have some upside.

I understand and agree, but what I’m saying is tell me the real difference between Lane and Riley.

Both have a fun offense, both always have a really good quarterback.

Both have great offenses with awful defenses and never can beat the great teams they play. I would love Brohm.

Riley inherited a powerhouse at Okie and then went to one of the premier programs in CFB and has underachieved there. I do think he is very good offensive coach.

Lane has been in the spotlight since basically a kid, has failed, has succeeded and failed again. He's coached in the NFL and in the SEC more than once. He is now in the SEC at one of the traditionally in recent memory lower tier programs and has them not only competitive but in the playoff conversation.

A lot of games in the SEC at a bottom feeder program and a shoe in for the playoffs this year on what was supposed to be a rebuilding year.

I have no feelings towards him. Just think his stock is down. He’s not even a sexy name anymore. He’s “just a guy”with a very mediocre program.

Riley might retain Baker. He would need some SEC experience on D.

Not sure what Kiffen would do.

It will have to be a risk in any case. Doubt that Kiffin comes here. May need to take a chance on a younger “diamond in the rough” coach on a shorter deal that will increase if he wins it all.

10 games a year four times out of the 6 years he's been there, at a program that only did that once in the previous 50 years
