That’s obviously a smokescreen distraction while they work on meeting Saban’s contract terms. I’ve been reassured by multiple sources multiple times over the past couple weeks that LSU is bringing daddy home.

It should be obvious. LSU is trying to bring back Kiffin to work under a returning HC Saban. Saban will have a two/three-year contract to to bring LSU up from the ashes then will retire and leave Kiffin in charge.
