This LSU basketball team is somewhat talented…but don’t do anything particularly well…

Still have no edge, no identity, no plan on offense, dribble out of trouble and into trouble but can’t pass out of it…

I expect a more talented team that will lose in much the same way they have over the last several years….they are tough and aggressive only in small spurts….cosching has hit the ceiling and hope that my athletes can beat your athletes

Nothing that happens in the PMAC matters until January with the horrible non conf schedule. We may have a glimpse into how things may go the first week of December in those neutral/road games.

Honestly, no matter how the season goes, I expect the new leadership to want to hire a new coach. If he has a “good” year, he may move elsewhere similar to Trent Johnson.

Relax tonto, it's been three games. They looked better in these first three games then they have against rent a win opponents in the past. Wait till December 7th and then stake your claim

They’ve blown out plenty of rent a wins the last three years.

Offense has been objectively pretty good. They are top 50 in the majority of statistical categories and it’s only the third game with a lot of new faces. You’re either trolling or are a dumbass

And then SEC play gets here and they win three games.

Offset by his next job. This won’t be nearly as big of an issue.

I was not too impressed tonight. They played very sloppy on defense and point guard was just ok.

Has he? His FG%, PPG, FT%, and RPG are all better so far this year than last year. He needs to get a bit more confidence in his size.

Well they do a few things well, is it gonna be enough? I dunno, time will tell. We get to the free throw strike really well, which is huge when you have bad shooting nights like tonight. They have played way better the second half after two meh first halves this week.

What worries me is without our pg in the game we look lost. We are still letting teams kill is on the offensive glass. Now, grant it, we improved in the second half, but when we are gonna play a team neither a pulse and we have bad first half’s like that, they are not gonna let us back up regardless how well we play the second half. I also think we are gonna have to find a way to get Reed or Williams in the starting lineup and tamba off the bench, it’s not showing up yet but we are gonna need the size in sec play.i like tamba a lot but something tells me we gonna have to play bigger sooner or later. But the biggest thing so far is, we gotta bring the same intensity to both halfs. Good win, glad we pulled away, keep trying to improve game by game and let’s hope for the best.

I think he is fine. We have to remember that he is 19 years old playing with a lot of 22-23 year olds.

He is not decisive on offense yet. He gathers a bit instead of going straight up. But that will come. Defensively he hustles and is willing to get on the floor for a loose rebound.

I am satisfied where Sutton, Thomas, Reed, Tamba, and Nwoko are right now. Over the next 2 cupcakes I would like to see the development of Miller, Max, King, and Reese.

If I’m CMM, bring in miller right now and try out a 122 half court.

Reed off the bench is a couple games from being the key in offense.

Reece is the x.

Tamba is a bigger 24-25 Bailey. Remind me a little of Gtemple. Might need to focus on setting up offense.

Considering we fired a future HOF football coach with 70% win record in the SEC, a western division championship and Heisman trophy winner for $53 million just because "he was not a good fit", I guess, nothing is a problem, so long as we get to fire someone, no matter the adverse consequence.

I know what I'm going to say will sound stupid given that we scored 98 points, but FIU got really physical with us and it seemed to bother us at times and what worries me about that is that's what really got to us last year when we got to the SEC schedule.

Brady also said something post game - that the thing that bothered him was that FIU got to the goal a lot last night just could not finish at a good clip and he worried the better teams we play (i.e. teams that didn't just lose by 30 to Nebraska) would finish better, so we will have to clean that up.

We did make 30-34 on free throws which is awesome, that will come in handy, so if you are looking for something we do well that seems to be it, and to me that's significant. Can make a difference in a couple of games for sure.
