....Then why did the Democrats vote to block the release of the files yesterday afternoon?

Everyone knows Trump turned Epstein into the FBI and offered to testify. The Dems have a lot to lose here, and they know it

I agree, I don't think he's in there in a bad way. But if it comes out that he did something, he should go down like th rest of them.

I’m not even caring but how can they block the release of that which doesn’t exist? And what happened? I thought this was it! They finally got him. What happened?

What happened?

The same reason they had a Democrat Administration for 4 years and never released the files that supposedly destroy the Bad Orange Man.

Because they're guilty.

Trump ran on the Epstein files. He, and his loyal followers, talked about it endlessly.......Suddenly it is a nothingburger.

Why?

How about answering the first question before you propose another one.

That question has already been answered, the Democrats didn't vote to block Epstein files. That was bad faith spin, the actual vote is next week.

Now how about answering the real question? Trump campaigned on releasing the Epstein files. He, his followers, and the right wing echo chamber talked about it constantly. Now they don't care. Why?

Democrats didn’t block the release of the Epstein files... They blocked a stunt by Burchett, which was a procedural shortcut that skipped legal review and risked exposing victims’ names. They’re actually pushing for full release — just with redactions and oversight.

Why did Republicans block a vote on releasing the files for months? Why are they suddenly not interesting after screaming about it for months.

Because it's also damaging to them?

I don't think Trump did anything inappropriate with minors

I do think that all of this shite needs to be released though

I can not for the life of me understand why any civilian is on the side of wanting it to be blocked from release

He mentioned in an interview that he would release him

And he appointed 2 people to head up the FBI that said they would release all of it. Vance also said we should release all of it.

You could argue that he didn't campaign on releasing the files but he did say he would release them and hand picked people that have been screaming to release it for years to be his VP and lead the FBI.

Your protest is one of simple semantics

Because a lot money backers that prop up
politicians were involved with Epstein. It’s why both sides are blocking releasing them.

Exactly.

This is higher than Trump.

Presidents come and go but the Deep State rules in perpetuity.

Mentioned and running on are very different things. He mentioned a lot of things that crosses his mind, that doesn’t mean will seek to get done

Because once they vote to release the Epstein files, they have no leg to stand on as to why their Congressional sexual assault slush fund shouldnt be released
quote:

Since 1997, the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights has paid out $18.2 million to settle 291 cases of workplace disputes for Congress

Which would be far worse for them, because these are settled disputes, not some vague accusations in an investigative file
