Once starship is fully operational, it's going to be a starlink game changer.

States spending trillions for rural broadband are wasting money.

Had Starlink at my home with 5 tvs/games streaming. Haven’t seen a difference with att fiber. Att was just cheaper. If Starlink starts offering this low, they could make a huge dent in the market.

Pretty good deal for those in rural areas.

Amazon's project Kuiper service will start rolling out soon as well.

Competition with be great for consumers. Rumors they will offer 400mbit around 50/mo

LEO satellite Internet not really a competitor for hard wired companies like ATT.

There are targeted more at rural areas for now and other specific mobile use cases.

Generally you can get cheaper, faster and more reliable Internet from your local provider if you can.

That being said ATT as an investment is another story

Most urban areas in Africa are dominated by mobile, which has Internet.

Not sure starlink is changing much there, but rural areas could be massive. But that's a limited use case.

We’ve pumped trillions into that failed geopolitical dumpster fire, and it hasn’t moved the needle at all. If anything it’s worse than it was 100 years ago. I don’t think cheap widely available internet is going to be the magic pill.

Be careful of the weather resilient claim. It's like Direct TV. Heavy thunderstorms and weather clouds definitely causes problems.

Akchually :)

Starlink can surpass long distance land based communication speeds. At least that is what some YT video told me.
